| Steinhatchee has
always been a popular spot for fishermen and hunters. The pristine
shoreline and shallow grass flats provide habitats for any number of
saltwater fish. Scalloping is a common pastime in the summer, while
fall and winter usually provide great fishing in the Steinhatchee
River and on the grass flats. Dog hunting for foxes, deer or hogs is
also a very popular sport here. Our area
has been called one of the premier shorebird locations of the Gulf
Coast, and birding enthusiasts will understand why when they bring
their binoculars to Hagen's Cove, Adams Beach, Keaton Beach or the
Hickory Mound Impoundment.
There are several parks that offer picnic space and swimming
opportunities. These include Hagen's Cove, Steinhatchee Falls, Keaton
Beach and Dallas Creek Landing. Here you can find plenty of rugged
trails for hiking. |

You can also explore the upper river for
some great rafting and canoeing.
We at United Country of Steinhatchee are waiting to serve you. This is
where you'll find the life you've always dreamed of.
